she lay on her side in the hospital bed, an iv in her arm and a bracelet around her wrist. Her eyes were red and puffy now from crying, her knees drawn up, her hair once tied back into a tidy braid was now hanging in strands around her face, spotted with her tears. She made a pathetic sight there in the bed, her skin almost as pale as the sheets, and everyones attitude only fed the sadness inside her, they tiptoed around her like one false mood and she would break, and slowly she was coming to the belief that it was now the truth. She was crushed
