He had followed the ambulance here, called Kali on the way, and now was standing with her in the waiting room. Arms around her tightly, the girl was simply crying into his chest while he looked over her head towards where a doctor could be walking out at any moment with news... He had no idea what was going on - if Zeke was even going to make it - and that made comforting the inconsolable Kali impossible. Worried lines creasing his young features, he rubbed his friend's back and murmured reassuringly every once in a while - but really all they could do was wait...

She wasn't sure how to handle this, if she should call Kato, what she should do. Kesi had begged her not to call anyone even as she was crying out in pain - her daughters pleas were all that had her standing here alone outside the hospital after they had kicked her out of the room. Her small arms wrapped her frame before she made the decision to call Jake. She picked up Kesi's cell, searching the phonebook till she found his name and waited it to connect. It could be appendacitis or something, I don't know.." She swallowed. It was almost an hour later that a doctor came out to inform them that Zeke was stable, but still in critical condition. The girl seemed shaky, so he didn't go into much detail of what Zeke had been through but he did relate. "There was an overdose of a mixture of cocaine and the drug MDMA in his system."
