As I sit here trying to contemplate everything that went wrong in today's game, I try to look for the positive. The only positive I can come up with is that at least noone was there to see it.

This has to be the worst Homecoming in the history of the world. I remember that more people in my fourth grade elementary class had aspiration than does our school. And I'll tell ya what's funny is that I think it's because we'd played better basketball than UTA does.

Everything looked really bad tonight, from choosing a date (historically rainy season/week) surrounded by other competing events (Mardi Gras, Valentine's, Ash Wednesday, Lent) (Hell even President's Day and Lincoln Day get more attention than our Homecoming did) to not correctly marketing our own event (not tying in the relationship between Blue/White Bash and a Basketball Game) to Coaching (not motivating the team to step up their game and put some fight into it) and Playing (not knowing how to make a pass or play defense) and on down the list. There are a zillion factors in making a Homecoming event successful enough to build on a fan base, and everything we did to plan this event went wrong or just didn't get done right (or at all).

Even the actual Homecoming ceremony was blah.

I usually bring my giant Texas-Arlington flag to big games like this, but I think that from now until our team and our leadership get there act together, I will furl the flag and never show it to anyone until UTA has proven itself. We have dishonored ourselves, embarrassed us in front of our friends and noone deserves to look at the shame that our entire athletics department has put on us.

The flag is furled gentlemen and only you have the power to restore Honor to our name.

I say Goodnight, but I'll be watching the boards for answers to why UTA fcuked up so badly. (if the language bothers you, you can punch yourself in the face) Today is what it was.
