A shadow crossed the worn cobbleston path. And so, it could be said that the Queen of Camelot had returned. If she was, in fact, fit to be Queen at all. Her sable pelt hinted at a darker side of her temper, which one didn't want to provoke. Perhaps her outer appearance had been affected by past experiences. Her uncle, the infamous Raumo, had once told her that she was "a bad egg". What that had meant at the time, she didn't know. Aarien had learned. The time that she had been loyal to the Evils, then called the Black Magic Wolves, had been harsh on her. But, never had she truly shared their ideals. Only as an act of rebellion had she ran away with the alabaster Band.

But now look where she was. Aarien, always the tough, bossy, oldest daughter of Kaano and Oli of Alaskan Mountains, cousins with Haryon, the other rebel in the family, niece of the two most influential alpha males of all of CM's history, Ferdie and Raumo, had somehow fallen out of favor with them. Her parents were most likely dead and gone, as were her uncles. Haryon...well, she had heard no news of him. How she hoped-no, longed for-some kind of word from him. Just from someone in the family.

A pause in her step made her look at her surroundings. This was the true entrance of her beloved Camelot. But my, how deserted it looked. The ivy that normally would have added some kind of decoration with the help of some gardeners, now looked as if the gardeners had given them a bag full of fertilizer and then left them to their own. She didn't know the day, or the month, for that matter. It had been such a long time since she had viewed something so familiar to her. Perhaps, if she looked hard enough, she would find the one she seeked. Perhaps, he had waited, like his father, her uncle, would have done. Perhaps...
