My father and I started raising red setters in the early to mid sixties..Whirlaway Chief was the stud and that was the first time I met Henry Taylor. What a gentleman and promoter of the Irish. We raised one or two litters a year for over fifteen years or when the quail populuation started to decrease. We tracked some of our bloodline to both South American and Canada I gave up hunting quail around 1980, but we received puppy inquiries until the mid eighties.

Thanks for your article, it brought back many memories.
