Subject: Rob is here!

Major update! Rob showed up pretty unexpected Saturday. He had called from Missouri (his mom's house) on Wednesday to tell me he still wanted to go to rehab. His dad had emailed me on Friday to let me know Rob had contacted him to get the phone numbers. Rob then called me Sat. morning to tell me he had an appointment on Monday morning and he wanted to come on Sunday. He wanted me to asked my grandmother if he could spend the night at her house. Well, he showed up early!! Things are really weird. I am trying to keep my distance and filter everything he says thru my "addict manipulator" filter. I think he finally realizes I have started to find myself in a life without him and functioning pretty well. He asked to see the kids and I refused. We spent a couple of hours together yesterday and again today. I told him flat out I wasn't convinced he was going to go Monday. Although, he is saying things that show me he has really given it alot of thought. He said he really has no choice. He told me he had purposely tried to OD and couldn't even be successful at that. I don't understand exactly what it means, but he was doing 90 units every two hours for three weeks. He said it was over $10K worth. He said if God was going to keep him here then he needed to figure out why. As far as the truck goes, it will be here with me as of tomorrow afternoon. I haven't gotten any final plans. I still struggle with the fact he will have a huge problem getting and keeping a job without a vehicle and not knowing anyone here to depend on. I know that this is a co-dependant thing, but knowledge is not always power. Pray for us. Thanks so much for being there for me.
