Subject: Jenna's Juno Experience... lol...

Well, the Juno experience was actually next to nil, as my wonderful cousin Deb called on Thursday morning to tell me that the other chick was ok after all and as hard as she'd tried, she couldn't get me a pass. So I was sad... but I guess it was a good thing, cuz I was supposed to get my wisdom teeth out on Friday and this was I didn't have to cancel and wait another month. Meh.
So yeah, the teeth are out, and I'm HURTIN'. It's BRUTAL. You have no idea. lol... But, I did watch the Junos on Sunday night, and they were AWESOME. I was all depressed that I couldn't go, but then at about 10:45, when I was about to go to bed, Debbie called, and was like,
"Yeah, I'm backstage..."
"I hate you Deb..."
"... and, hold on a sec..."
...
"Hello?"
"Hi... who's this?"
"Kathleen. Edwards?"
"... Oh. Hi. ... How are you?"
*insert Jenna silently freaking RIGHT out*

Yeah... KATHLEEN EDWARDS. She'd heard that I was from Renfrew (she's from Ottawa) and that I was supposed to have come but I was layed up with teeth problems and she decided she wanted to talk to me. She's a SWEETHEART. And yeah, it gets better. We'd been talking for a few minutes when I hear in the background,
"... Are you serious? She's from RENFREW?"
and then Kathleen laughed, and then I heard some more muffled talking, and then,
"HEY!!! RENFREW GIRL!! YEAHHHH!!"
...
Kathleen : "*laughing* Avril says hi... but I think you got that."

AVRIL.

lol... Apparently the backstage area was really small, so there were all these musicians in a reall small space, and the news that a Renfrew girl was on the phone spread like WILDFIRE (lol... oh, hyperbole... :) ). I also got a "hello" from Alanis, although that was just passed from her to Kathleen to me. Still...

SEE what being from Renfrew can do for you? Ottawa-area musicians LOVE you. Could have been the mention of the horrible, mind-numbing pain, too. At any rate, I'm so proud. :) And Debbie is now my HERO. lol...
