Subject: silverchair @ the Belvoir, Saturday 29th March **contains setlist spoiler**

Last night I saw silverchair so I'll post what I wrote in my journal. All I can say is that for those of you who are seeing them on this tour...be escited. Be very excited!
---
I was talking to Dad about the weather the night before and asked him what would happen if there were thunderstorms and he said to think positive. Well the forecast said there would be thunderstorms...actually now that I think back I realise how stupid I was. I think I forgot that thunderstorms usually involve rain. I should have been prepared.

We got there very early since it only took 30 minutes to get there. I was paranoid my car would die but it was fairly well behaved. I can't believe how rude these bitches were. We gave them my two spare LAS letters to let them in early and they didn't say thanks, they got really suspicious and then complained when they had to move to another gate. It is sort of a worry that they have my name and address on the letters actually. Hopefully the rain made them unreadable! I guess that just adds to my "people suck" view.

The Sleepy Jackson didn't do much for me; I'm sure they are a good band, I just wasn't in the mood for listening to slow pretty songs that I didn't know. I think it was during the break that it started raining. I am very pissed off at myself for not bringing a jumper or something, I was shivering. Yay for Laura's scarf, it actually did make quite a difference in keeping my head dry.

I did like the venue a lot but next time I'll be bringing rugs, pillows, sleeping bags and a rain jacket! The lightning over the stage was awesome to watch. My tour programme is ruined, there's fifteen dollars down the drain. Still, the first two pages are okay. It was just halarious during Miss You Love. The situation was ridiculous - there we are sitting on the wet grass, absolutely soaked, the place being lit up every 30 seconds by lightning, but watching the best band of our generation. There was a frog...yeah I didn't actually see him but it cracked me up. It was funny how all the people around us were laughing and getting up while the frog was hopping about, people must've wondered what was going on. I hope my photo turns out so I can see him. I hope he wasn't frogstomped.

What sucked about last night was the fact that we probably missed out on 3-5 songs due to the fucking weather. Apart from that it was great! I don't even have a cold, it's quite amazing. It's a pity my photos won't turn out because I was too far away, but maybe a couple will show the pretty rainbow columns or something. I think it was pretty good of silverchair to keep playing because the rain was going on to the stage too. It can't have been 100% safe and it probably wouldn't be good for Daniel to get sick again. Of course if they cancelled or stopped playing, there would have been riots.

I think this is the setlist: after all these years, world upon your shoulders, tuna in the brine, luv your life, paint pastel princess, petrol and chlorine, across the night, ana's song, miss you love, steam will rise, emotion sickness, without you, slave, the greatest view, the door, freak, anthem for the year 2000, one way mule.

It would be good if they make it into a live DVD, apparently there was a person filming it.

The songs were absofuckinglutely amazing live, really. They added all these cool parts into the songs and had extended bits. The guys seemed to be really enjoying the show despite the rain and Daniel actually looked happy up there. He was rubbing himself and pulling up his shirt during Across The Night, I think he was enjoying himself a bit too much :P Ben was dressed only in undies! Sorry, I thought that needed to be said. Chris was bouncing around like the champion he is. He was awesome during Steam Will Rise. I can't remember too much else but the chairpage forums have stuff on them.
