Wooo! :) Sounds AWESOME. The lightening would have been killer. ooooh... I'm jealous... yet all excited for OUR show!! MAY 2-4, baybee!! :D

J.

PS- GUESS who just might have gotten herself a KICKARSE, KILLER, SWEET, BADASS lil' job? That's right, ME. ME ME ME ME ME. A three-day job, nontheless, but it'd be amazing. Doing "personal assistance" work FOR JUNOFEST!!! See, the Canadian Grammys, the Junos, are in Ottawa this year, next Sunday, so Ottawa's making a HUGE deal about it and turning Juno night into Juno-FEST - The two days prior to the show, 15 venues, 80 bands. My cousin is the Entertainment and Arts director for Ottawa, and apparently one of the "personal assistance workers" might have broken her collarbone tonight, so Deb asked me to fill in for her if she's not able to by Thursday. If I do get the job, on Friday and Saturday, I get to go to allll these shows, meet alllll these musicians (like Kathleen Edwards! WOOOO!!), and just basically hang out... and on JUNO NIGHT, I get to be BACK-FUCKING-STAGE to show all the musicians where the dressing rooms are, how to get to the stage, fetch water, etc... So I'll get to meet all THOSE musicians... and the presenters. Hockey players, polititians, actors... mmmm... I'll have "performing artist stationing", which means my priorities are the people who are playing... so I'll get to hang out with the likes of Sam Roberts and BLUE RODEO (HOLY FUCKING SHIT... I'll have heart attack if I have to speak to THEM, lemme tell you... been a fan since KINDERGARTEN... I may jump Jim Cuddy... lol...)
From the Juno website:
"Chantal Kreviazuk, Doc Walker, James Ehnes, Jane Bunnett, Kathleen Edwards, K-OS, Nickelback and Theory of a Deadman join previously announced presenters Alanis Morissette, Danko Jones, Glenn Lewis, Jully Black, Molly Johnson, Sarah Slean and Shawn Desman for the 2003 JUNO Awards Telecast from the Corel Centre in Ottawa-Gatineau on Sunday, April 6 at 8 p.m. (ET). Confirmed non-musical presenters will include: The Honourable Sheila Copps, Minister of Canadian Heritage; Daniel Alfredsson, Captain of the Ottawa Senators; and Thea Andrews and Ben Mulroney, hosts of CTV’s Etalk Daily. The 2003 JUNO Awards Telecast is hosted by singing sensation Shania Twain and features performances by Avril Lavigne, Blue Rodeo, Our Lady Peace, Remy Shand, Sam Roberts, Swollen Members and Tom Cochrane."

WOOOOO!!! How excited am *I*?! WOOOOOO!!!
