Subject: YEE-HAW, GUYS!!

YAY! My ploy worked! :)

Anyyywho... Alls I have to say tonight is the following:
GIVE LIKE SANTA, SAVE LIKE SCROOGE.

I saw my first Christmas Crappy Tire commercial today!!

(wait... lol.. non-Canadians confused yet? Yeah. Ooops. :))

Crappy Tire is a nickname for Canadian Tire, which is a great big chain store that sells mostly household stuff, like barbeques and gardening stuff and lumber and car stuff, but they sell toys and crap like that too. They go alll out for Christmas, and they sell trees and ornaments and prezzies and all sorts of stuff, and they have this ad campaign that's just hilarious... GIVE LIKE SANTA, SAVE LIKE SCROOGE.

Now, the "save like scrooge" bit is not only cuz they're cheap, but because every time you shop there, you get a certain percentage of what you spent back in CANADIAN TIRE MONEY, which is as good as money, but can only be spent in Crappy Tire. It never expires, and it looks kinda like our real money - all different colours and all that. EVERY Canadian has drawers full of the stuff. You mostly get it in denominations of 5, 10, 25, and 50 cents, and I believe you can get $1 and $2 bills, too, so in order to really buy anything with it, you need A LOT. I once saw a guy buy a chainsaw with solely Canadian Tire Money. He had a grocery bag full of it. It's great stuff. Yet another Canadian institution. :)

Anywho, I saw my first X-mas Crappy Tire commercial today, and I proceeded to run around the house finding all my stashed wads of C.T cash (we also tend to hide it all over the place, much like squirrels), and then spent the next hour counting it all, in anticipation of my annual Canadian Tire Money Shopping Trip. I have collected $89.15 since last Christmas. And most of it's in denominations of 25 cents or less. I'm so proud. :)

Ok, so I lied. I have another thing to say. My Entrepreneur teacher, Porier, is going to be in the Boston Marathon. Which is kind of funny, cuz he's PORIER. He's a little short skinny guy with this massive afro, and he enjoys wearing orange toques, and he has three little kids and they're so cute and he talks about them all the time and everybody knows them cuz he brings them to school all the time and they're NUTS, like Porier, and he's probably the most popular teacher in the school (his Media class had a waiting list of 50+ people and the classes have 35 people in them), and he's just Porier. He placed 75th in the Toronto Marathon out of thousands of people from all around the world and was 15 minutes under the required time for his age group to get into the Boston Marathon. Porier... quite the character. :)

Ok, done for tonight... lol... 'nights!

J.
