 I'm in the UK, but as you said - I got into a state of ignorance too! Gomez are essentially a cult underground phenom in the uk too - virtually everyone's heard of them, but they are nowhere as big as they should be. They want to be smallish anyway, so let it long continue if the music keeps rolling out.
