Joyce, as per your and my many discussions months and months ago the clean outs go almost exactly as you just wrote. All three have to empty their rectum because we use the nozzle that we insert past the rectum and to the start of the sigmoid section. They get a soapy enema and two rinses. That's why we clean out our two boys in the morning on Saturdays because this takes about three hours for each child start to finish and bedtime enemas go too late into the night. Sitter is allowed to sleep in on Sunday mornings so it is not that big of an issue for her to clean her out in the evening plus she doesn't seem to mind but I don't care for my boys to be so curious about her enemas. On her weekends that I don't clean her out she goes home for the weekend after school and is dropped off at school on Monday morning. We do Metamucil and not Miralax mainly because the FDA has not approved the use of Miralax on children. And does not approve of daily long term use of miralax even in adults. Metamucil is natural fiber. I like that. She will tell me if she has pooped at school and I believe her but she is such a good holder that she usually poops shortly after dinner her in the evening. I think she can poop or not poop depending on her mood at the moment. Her daily Metamucil insures that the stool is there for he to do with as she sees fit. Which unfortunetly for so many years now has been to withhold it until she smears her underwear.

AV, I'm the one that is over the moon that she has again taken over their clean outs. Six hours to clean two kids out pretty much wastes a day that I could be accomplishing other things. They didn't fight me any more but they made it clear that I was mean still. They don't like enemas! But..... they like sitter so that some how makes it okay and that works for me. I was busy getting some fall planting of flower bulbs in my flower bed that was several weeks late so I was outside and actually thought that sitter's friend had left before my boy's enemas started. So I have no idea what my boys thought of it but if they are getting attention from sitter then all is okay from what I have observed in the past. I know I often find out that they have pooped from her because they tell her first. I don't know if sitter's friend really wants an enema clean out or if she is satisfied in helping giving our boy's their enemas. I guess time will tell. If she has indeed had suppositories then she may be curious about getting an enema clean out.
