I have the feeling no one is reading these posts. So many people had a story to tell and now seem to have lost interest. I have read every thing written about the examinations and even some of the stuff about enemas. I don't like what I saw posted by the enema people but they seem to think it was important enough to carry on an exchange of advice and information. It doesn't seem to be enough interest to warrant a comment from someone. Maybe there is no one reading any of this to comment. Either way if some interest isn't shown, I've written my last. I'm talking about stuff other than enemas.

I think someone could start and get a good reaction (messages) if someone wrote about physical examinations from the V.A.. If you don't know what the V.A. is, I will explain. It is the Veterans Administration medical and hospital service. Much has been written about it that was not favorable and for the most part what was written was true.
However, for some of us it is the only insurance we have and even tho I gripe about it, I consider myself lucky to have it. Some of my experiences have made me angry, some I have been grateful for, some have been funny and a couple have been quite erotic if only in my mind.
I will relate one experience that I'm not quite sure how to classify.
Let me say that from the experiences I have had with the V.A. I believe that a lot of the bad things that happen to me is due to the doctors that work for the V.A. Some of the best doctors that can be found anywhere work for the V.A. I don't know this for sure but I believe the V.A. pays for the doctors schooling in exchange for a certain amount of time as a physician for the V.A. Some young and very good doctors work for V.A. to pay off their cost of medical school.
That said, because of the shortage of trained medical people available, they are sometimes forced to accept less than the best. I also believe that a medical license from some middle east country will get that doctor a job with the V.A. I have seen more than one who didn't speak English well enough to confer with a patient with out the help of a nurse or aide who had been working with him and could understand what he was trying to say.
That much said I'm going to take a break and try to tell about my fun time I had with an examination by V.A. doctors.
By the way, I call myself Jones because I feel like the average guy being treated by the V.A.

To continue on with my experience;
I had gonee to my regular V.A. doctor for one of my twice a year visits and was embarrassed to tell her I had developed two rough spots on my penis and I was actually worried that I might have some type of skin cancer or just plain cancer of some sort.
She has a look and tells me I have genital warts. You can get them from multiple partners if you don't wear protection. She says your in luck we have a new urologist at the clinic and I'm going to let him treat you.
I got in to see him right away because he had only arrived and didn't have any patients yet.
He was one of these imports I was writing about.
My regular dr must have sent word ahead of time. He told me to remove my shoes and pants and get on the examining table and lie on my back. I did and he starts to examine my penis when he notices the square pump box in my scrotum. I didn't mention I had a penile pump for an operation I had for peyronies disease. I had a penile implant done and I can pump it up and have an erection, tho it becomes much bigger if I have an erection of my own to go with it. Peyronies is caused by some sort of trauma to your penis. End result is a bend in the penis that makes it sometimes impossible to have intercourse. Such was my case. My regular doctor was aware of the implant and whenever I went in for an office visit she would check it out. One of the tests she did was to have me pump it up untill it was hard and then wait five five minutes and then check to see if it was still just as hard or if it was leaking off pressure. It had tested O.K.
When he saw the pump in my scrotum, he wanted to do the pressure test. I told him that my regular doctor had checked it out but he insisted on doing it also. So, I'm laying on my back with an artificial erection and he wheels out this machine that is designed to burn off these warts. It can also be used to remove regular warts or skin tags. He props up my erection so that it is pointing to the ceiling. He cleans the warts with some of that green soap and turns on the machine. Nothing happens. He flips the on-off switch several times and starts to get upset. He says the machine is broke. This red light comes on when the machine is on and the light won't come on. He leaves and comes back with the girl who took my vital information to start a file on me. He brings her in and is telling her the machine don't work, and does she know what is wrong. She said she's not a nurse, shes a clerk and she doesn't know anything about the machine. In the meantime I'm laying there with my erection sticking straight up, and she is staring at it. He says wait here and goes across the hallway and to the urgent care room and gets the nurse that is on duty to come over and have a look at the machine. He has left the door to his room open and there is a fair amount of traffic passing by and anyone looking in can see my erection sticking up. The doctopr who was on duty in the urgent care comes in and he tells her about the machine being broke. She says maybe the red light is not working. During all this time I'm starting to enjoy all of the attention my penis is getting and I get my own excitement going which makes for a really decent hard on. The young girl who is the receptionist is still there and staring, and I figure at anytime he is going to start bringing in passerbys to have a look. The doctor from urgent care takes one of the electrodes and touches it against the metal frame of the machine and it sparks. She tells the urologist it's working and they all leave. the door is still open and people are walking by and looking, He burns off the warts, I let off the pressure and am pulling my pants on when he tells me to turn myback to the door, people passing by can see me.
What an ass I think. There was a curtain that could have been pulled that would have kept any passerbys from seeing in.
enough
This wasn't about just an exam but I had to vent.

To James;

I read your messages and would be interested in reading more if you are willing to share.

I think more are reading them also. I think you should give James a shout if you are enjoying, or even just reading his posts. This is better than reruns on T.V.

I have a story that pertains to what will fit your physical for grown men thread. My experience comes at the V.A. clinic and ends at the V.A. hospital.

I was doing my semi annual office visit with my regular doctor when I showed her a rough patch of skin on my left nipple and asked if I might get some type of steroid cream to clear it up. She looked at it and got kind of excited. She told me that it was probably just a skin condition, but it could also be a type of cancer known as padget's desease. Now there are two kinds of padget's or padgett's desease and the one she was worried about was BAD!!

She sent me to a female imaging place and I got some x-rays done of my breast. I was told by the technician doing the x-ray it was common for men to get their breast x-rayed, but I think she was trying to make me feel better about being the only male in the place.

Back to the V.A. clinic where my regular doctor had been busy setting me up with a doctor who specialized in this type of problem. It was at a women's clinic some 125 miles South of where we were and it was for the next day, in the afternoon. The next day was, I think, a Friday, and also New Years Eve.

Next morning after getting my must do chores done, I headed South and found the clinic about three o'clock. After filling out the paper work, I talked to the doctor and she said that she would set me up fora biopsy as soon as possible after the first of the year. She said she planned on having me put to sleep while she did the biopsy, and to do that she would have to give me a physical examination. Now this is like four o'clock on new years eve and the clinic is just about deserted. She apologized to her nurse, but said she would require her to stay for the physical.

She told the nurse full body physical in preparation for an operation. Into the examining room where I was told to completely disrobe. Understand, I'm not an old man and the nurse is reasonably young and quite pretty. The doctor is a little younger than me an is attractive thought not as much as the nurse. I didn't think of it at the time, but seeing hoe it was a women's clinic, they probably didn't get many men to do physical exams on. The nurse weighed me,didn't measure my height, and then did my blood pressure. I have been weighed at the V.A. many times and always with my clothes on. I had a hospital gown on at this time and when the doctor came in she said you might as well leave the robe on a chair, you will have it off more than on.

I would like to interject here with something I was privy to that my primary doctor showed me. It was notes about the patient that are forwarded to the next doctor so that the next doctor knows if the patient has a hangup about something or in my case my doctor had written Mr. Smith is very comfortable with his body and discussing it. He has no problem with physical exams done by women nurses or doctors. This isn't exactly what was wrote but that was what it was meant to convey. When my regular doctor had done my initial physical exam, we had moments of humor that we both laughed at. On a more serious note, when I became erect while she was feeling my testicles for "anything that doesn't belong there", as I tried to apologize she reassured me it happened regularly.

I will continue this later, my back won't stand for any more.

Smith
