Subject: We have the flu Author: Shelly [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: Thursday, January 08, 2026, 12:14: pm I've had a flu shot but husband is an anti-vaccer so he and the boys didn't get one. Our youngest and husband and sitter all are in bed very sick and I'm feeling like I'm getting it too. I have a fever. I get delirious when I have a fever. I called my step mom to come keep watch on us and help me out if I get really sick. The flu virus is in feces when you have it so it means a lot of enemas for the next few days while she is here. He is so sick he didn't even give her any trouble. He is in our master bath now on the toilet with his enema. She has the toilet chair in our bedroom for me. I'm next and then the two sick kids. I'm not liking this! This isn't in my fantasies. Enemas are the worst when you already don't feel good. I have a fever and I am hallucinating. She probably will give you a bit of a cool enema while your fever is raging. It helps to temper the fever just a little. Takes the edge off the fever just a touch. We always do a least two enemas per day for sicknesses because it among other things insures that you stay hydrated. [ Post a Reply to This Message ]

How is your husband doing? We have a couple of dads in our families too that are very anti anything anal for medication or bowel maintenance. But both of them have been so sick a couple of times that they too didn't even try to resist enemas to get them back on their feet again. Kitten Paw is right. They are big bad boys and don't need our medicine until they are so sick they almost beg for the enemas if it will cure what ails them. My wife is super paranoid about this year's flu as she has heard that the flu vaccine this year does not prevent the strain that is going around and making people really sick. Some years, they get the shot right and some years they don't. Lucky for him. I still got one this morning. I never learned how to say no to her. My little sister came and got the boys for the weekend. Husband moved to the couch and went back to sleep. And I got my morning enema. Still pretty sick and I am so mad because I was the only one that got a flu shot. But I already had a sinus thing going on when I got this flu bug and step mom says that is why it hit me so hard. I was having so much trouble with my breathing I was afraid I was getting pneumonia or something. A little better this morning but I still am sicker than I have been since I was a kid. It was just a hemorrhoid. But I have Covid. Again I get all the Covid boosters. Why me? So that is why I had diarrhea and the other ones didn't. Covid virus thrives in your colon. So I've already had my morning enema and I'm actually feeling pretty good. Getting some appetite back even though it is going to go right through me. So Kitten Paw I had five enemas while husband was getting his enemas too where I had to be on my 'adult potty chair'. I know you will be glad to hear that. And no it was not fun. You need to isolate from the rest of your family at least for another week or two and continue your enemas. Most people who get covid don't get diarrhea so you have a pretty strong virus load. You will have the virus in your feces for many many months to come but the good news is most of that virus in your feces is inactive in that it won't infect anyone. But respiratory wise you can give off live infectious shedding of the virus for another week or two. If she can stay and take care of the family with meals and getting the boys and babysitter off to school and give them their enemas so you can just shuffle between your office and your bedroom you really need to do that for the sake of not infecting your family. Of course this puts your stepmom at risk but she likely has already inhaled virus from you from her close contact with you the last few days. Since she hasn't gotten sick yet herself she likely has fought off both the flu and your Covid virus. I'm glad she took you to Urgent Care when she saw you were bleeding rectally. That is something you don't want to mess with. Glad it was just an internal hemorrhoid. They often will bleed but cause no other symptoms. [ Post a Reply to This Message ]

She had Covid in 2020 when it came to this country and she wasn't very sick except she says her sense of smell as never fully recovered. She is going to stay through the weekend of the 17th. I just had my afternoon enema a little while ago and then got about an hour nap. I had diarrhea again this afternoon and that's why I got my enema early.
