In reply to: Mom of 3 divorced 's message, "Re: Enema Bulbs - Declining Quality" on Friday, February 20, 2026, 05:43: pm

I work part time in a drug store. Got enemas growing up and gave many enemas to my two.
Also given in other homes.

Many moms come in looking for the enema bulb. Some know of the quality of the syringe of years past. I suggest they buy sol pic enema bulbs. But they are expensive. If you can even find one now.

They are the soft good quality one piece bulb. Come in various sizes.

I love talking with the younger moms who have no experience with the enema.
Try to help them. They are interested in giving the enema in their home.

Many times she will have her one or two kids with her. I ask who the enema is for. Good to learn she wants it “for him (her)”

Nice knowing when she gets home he is going to get an enema.

Years ago when talking with a mom about the enema I would offer to come to the home to teach. Used to be nurse.

But not done these days.

Would arrive at the home. Talk little and show her how to prepare everything.
Once was prepared brought the one getting it to the room.

Most of the time was given on the kitchen table.
Few times the mom would want to learn how to give to sick one in bed.

So he was put in bed as if was sick. The enema was brought to the bedroom. Shades closed. Linen pulled down. Towel on the bed and he was given a bulb enema on the bed. First one I gave. The second bulb by her.

Blessings
