Subject: Question about LS3 picture quality...

Could someone who has experience with the JVC HM-DH30000 tell me how the different recording modes compare to say a dvd or vhs/s-vhs. I am very interested in this machine, especially for the ls3 mode which offers 15 to 28 hours of recording time per tape. I am a huge sports fan and record alot of games. This feature would save me alot of time and effort (not to mention storage space)compared to using vhs tapes. If I could put 3-4 football games on one tape and have get better tha s-vhs quality, or even close to dvd, I would be ecstatic. Thanks in advance for any help.
