When you switch your satellite receiver to RGB, it outputs RGB AND composite through the output SCART (RGB signals contains no synchronization signal, the sync signals are read out from the composite signal).
So, actually, your VR20D records the composite signal, not the RGB signal...
Too bad isn't it ?
