You bet it's going to be successful. How can I tell this
early in the game? Just repeat the last three letters in
it's name. V-H-S. The VHS name has been sononomyous with
home video almost since it's inception (beta was a clost
call, it should have won.). And JVC will not let it's
little baby die. And before next holiday season, there will
be D-VHS-C, and camcorders, and dozens or more models of
D-VHS VCRs, all with better features than the last (Not
particularly useful features.). And since it got out the
door before the new year, I would bet a large chunk of my
business (videograhy) that every new movie will be
'Availible for D-VHS, DVD, and VHS. And by the middle of
2002 I would say D-VHS takes over he videotape market. I
mea, it is backward compatible with VHS. The VCRs cost $750
american where I live, and they'll probably cost $300
american soon. If the Beta Vs. VHS war showed anyone
anything at all, it was JVC never loses.
