Subject: The Ovious...Execution Was Pathetic.

Special Teams add nothing when we get the ball, and give up too much in coverage.

Penalties! Penalties! Penalties! Mariucci's teams continue to get worse and worse, year over year, setting records every year for the most penalties. This year doesn't look like it will be any different...

Why does Chandler get a nice, comfortable pocket when he drops back? No Pressure! The defensive ends generated zero pressure. Atlanta won the battle on both lines all day long. Expect that all season.

Why does Garcia's pocket collapse? A crappy Falcons' defensive line constantly pressured Garcia. What is with his wimpy armed, jump passes? They were novel last year. They are piss poor mechanics and fundamentally doomed.

Rice, Owens, Stokes, Streets, Clark, Beasley and Garner are all above average NFL skill players, but this offense was three and out repeatedly. These guys are a solid core of a potentially excellent offense. But they suck. Why? A very mediocre quarterback who wouldn't start for anyone else...except maybe Pittsburg! You guys argue about Stokes and Rice until you are blue in the face, but the problem is Garcia is way below average. Are you guys watching Jay Feidler tear apart Seattle? Even an average QB can be successful. Garcia isn't going to get it done. He is to succeptible to untimely errors. You can expect three or four big mistakes at key times, like the INT for a touchdown.

Norton and Tubbs don't have it.

I sure hope Schulters is o-kay.
