Subject: One down, 15 to go

Didn't see or hear the game but in looking at the recaps and stats it seems to have gone pretty much as I would have expected. Nice to see that the defense was able to hold the Falcons to field goals in the first half. It would have been ugly if they hadn't, still they did give up 36 points which isn't very encouraging, though there was a fumble recovery negated by a penalty which might have changed the point spread a bit. (Does anybody know how badly Schulters was hurt?) There is obviously still a lot of work to do there but I suspect they'll get better as the season goes along. Offense seemed as though it was making some plays but sounds as though it were still a bit out of sync. I taped the Carolina-Washington game because I wanted to see how the Panthers were shaping up. Once I watch it I'll report back. Tim's early prediction for next week 49er's by a touchdown.
