Wow! Praise God! His Word is true...thank-you, thank-you, thank-you! Today, in Deuteronomy the answer came to me...it coincides with your observation of Christians thinking themselves to be better than everyone else...this puzzled me at first. But God Himself speaking to believers everywhere, says, starting in Deut 9:4:
"Do not think in your heart, after the Lord your God has cast them out (all these other nations) before you saying, 'because of my righteousness (the righteousness of the Jewish Christians who have chosen to follow Jesus) the Lord has brought me in to possess this land (the promisedland); but it is because of the wickedness of these nations that the Lord is driving them out from before you.
It is not because of your righteousness or the uprightness of your heart that you go in to possess their land (America and every place that the gospel is being preached today to those without Christ!), but because of the wickedness of these nations that the Lord your God drives them out from before you, and that He may fulfill the word which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (the chosen, set apart people - before the Christians there were the Jews, who God made a covenant with!)
Therefore understand that the Lord your God is not giving you this good land to possess because of your righteousness, for you are a stiff-necked people."
You see, God Himself is saying to the Jews first and then to the Christians and everyone thereafter who is listening to Him that I am not letting you enter into this New and Better Covenant through the shed blood of my Son because of your goodness, but because I Myself, the God of Abraham, made a promise and I do not go back on My Word!
I am making My Way available and accessible to all that believe!
the 2.1 billion are not better..they are just on God's side of the equation, which is the right side to be on. God's Son says it like this...I am the Way the Truth and the Life and NO ONE comes to the FATHER but through ME...
This doesn't mean that all 2.1 billion have this birthright through membership or by paying the dues because the Jews had it first through lineage, but lost it through disobedience...We too as followers of Christ can lose it through disobedience! No one is safe! But all can be! Accept your lineage through Christ and through the Jews (He was a Jew) and you too can reach the promiseland safely!
Every child of God TODAY is therefore a direct descendant of Abraham! Salvation is to the Jews first and then to all those who have been grafted into that covenant through acceptance of the promised Messiah!
It is a spiritual understanding that comes through an acceptance of the covenant as passed down from Abraham to Moses, to Christ and to me! You can accept it by faith, or you can Read your Bible and You too can understand...
Once again, you have helped me prove the argument that the Christ of the Bible is the answer for every human being on the planet. Not because those who choose to accept the free gift of salvation through Christ alone are better than anyone else, but because it was and is God's perfect plan from the beginning.
You can accept and receive God's perfect plan for you and your descendants, or you can settle for something else, but it is all based on the Bible; God's Word on the matter.
Receive the forgiveness of sins through the cleansing blood of Jesus, the Christ of God; the promised Messiah, whom the Jews are now coming to in great numbers during these final days as this era of grace comes to a close.
Some of the Jews accepted Him at the time and some of them rejected Him at the time of His coming and this was the family feud that continues to this day! Reunite with your family of origin!
People get ready...there's a train to Jordan...you don't need no baggage, you just get on board! The Love Train!
Repent and believe the gospel!
There is only one family in heaven!
