She knew it was because he loved her, but why he held such strong passion for her was inexplicable. She knew it would be wiser for her to worry about that, but somehow she could worry about nothing with him so close. She ran her hand down his chest and undid the first button. Then she opened her eyes, and found Alairic’s staring into hers. It was love. That’s all she felt for him. Even now, if he turned and brunt her whole castle to the ground, she’d find herself loving him despite that. Love could be so dangerous, she just hoped she wasn’t going to get hurt. If anything, she hoped he’d never hurt her.

She was a queen, she hid these emotions deep within her. With all her heart she knew he’d never make her cry. She longed for the days where she would have help with Camelot, support. Her smile flickered through her thoughts, but was bright again when she came to the conclusion: He would never hurt her, never. She wrapped her arms around his neck, bringing him closer for a kiss. She loved him so much, she didn’t even bother answering his questions. He had made it clear many times, yet she only wanted to hear it anyway. She could have stayed like this forever. She listened to the rain beat down outside her window, the fire crackling as it surveyed the two lovers, and the sweet whisperings of Alairic. *-
