-*She suddenly quit sobbing and pushed lightly away from Delusion. She wanted to be alone...alone to think and ponder. Tears began to swell in her eyes and she blinked them hard back. She was supposed to be a Queen. She wasn't supposed to cry or be afraid. Many a person looked up to her, she had never cried when she came close to death....nor had she cried when close friends had died. She had always been brave so other people could find comfort in her...she had always been brave. Had anyone ever seen a tear linger in her eye when she was being held captive by the BMs, or Matsi? No...Never. But now, over something a small as love she was cracking up. She slid off the bed and went to the fire, where blazed flames upward. She grabbed her slightly wet, moss green cloak and slipped her arms into it hurriedly. Then with a fleeting glance to Delusion she exited through the left door...up a staircase and into the darkness of the forbidding corridors of Camelot. These very corridors she roamed since becoming Queen. She knew them all, and well. Her cloak swept and billowed behind her as she raced up the spiral stairs. But as she wandered blindly upward she didn’t watch where she was going. She pushed opened many hidden doors carefully hidden in the carved wood. She slipped past hanging on the walls, where behind lead stairs in any and every direction. She hurried along...quickly but quietly. Her eyes clouded by her own sweet tears. Finally, sides heaving slightly she placed her back against a wall and slid down it into a sitting position. She clutched her knees and had a good cry. Her sobs were barely heard over the other racket that was accompanied in the room. An owl hooted and watched the crying queen with wide eyes. A mouse or two poked their large eared heads out of their holes wondering what could be so horrible to make the queen cry. From the only, small window the crashing of waves against the sharp rocks sliced the silence. The moonlit appeared and disappeared casting eerie shadows through the window as the clouds drifted in front of and away from the full moon. She sat there, a very long time like that. She cried until she could no longer cry and her eyes were dry. She lifted her head and the watching animals dodged back into their holes and perches...but never did they go far. Within a few moments they were peering at her again with worry. She lifted her hand slowly and wiped away the last tear that remained on her steamy face. She wiped the other eye, although already dry, and leaned against the wall. She peered out the window and then around the room. She sniffed again and rested her head gently onto her knees. She still felt a grieving pain in her heart and wanted to cry some more, but nothing would come. It wasn’t known how long she sat there, quite and alone. *-
