Letting go of the breath that had caught in his chest, he tried to hide the fact that his whole body was shaking. He moved a tendril of hair from her face but didn't tuck it behind her ear. Words he feared would ruin this moment, he also feared this moment shouldn't have happened. Yet he would not change any second of these last moments if his very life depended upon it.*
