From what Angel X ahs posted, Buffy herself tells Willow that what she has planned is wrong, that killign humans differs from killing demons (especailly in this manner). Of course, I am sure Buffy does not know that Giles killed Ben (or even that Ben/Glory is dead, though it may have come up).

the distinction for me remains 3fold: 1) Ben still had Glory wrapped up inside of her, so I never thought of Ben as "human" he was more than human; 2) Giles although he knew what he was doing acted in an impulsive manner, he saw an opportunity and did something, he didn't gather power and hunt a human being down; 3) There is a very different quality between killing someone to protect people (only if its Buffy) adn killing for revenge. In my mind revenge is not an acceptable excuse. And chillingly, there ar the spoilers abotu Willow going after Andrew and Jonathan, both of whom were in jail when Tara is murdered. Buffy has to protect them against Willow? It just appears to be far more evil than Giles killign Ben to protect Buffy. As for teh SG accepting Willow back into the fold, I think it will be easier for the writers to do that (and well within teh characters as well) then it will be for some of the fans. My speculation remains that Willow will end up magicless, that it will be somethign akin to what happened to James in the Angel episode Heartthrob", where James gets extra powers for 6 hours before forfeiting his life. I doubt Willow will still have these powers in Season 7 (at least if she stays a SG) because then she would be much more powerful than Buffy and that doesn't work in a show called "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"
