Intersting essay. And I agree wholeheartedly about SPike (and I didn't think you were too rough on him, he only responds to rough treatment).

And as you and EA are, I am a wholehearted, Spike is the Big Bad wolf, evil in good clothing. But I am a bit skeptical about your comments about Buffy. Do you think she is no longer moral because she is sleeping with Spike? or because she is lying about it? As much as I hate it, I think Spuffy is showing us something. That even the most moral individual can make mistakes because of lust. And I think NA is the staet of Buffy taking control of herself again. I think she has reached bottom (the only one so far btw).

I am also a Tillow fanatic, I love Tara and Willow is the reason I started watching in the first place. Willow has never faced the reasons why Tara really let ehr, it wasn't "magic is bad" its "using magic selfishly". In the end, no matter how wonderful Willow was to Tara in Tough Love and beyond in Season 5, she was very selfish in her appraoch to the relationship this season. Willow hasn't faced that, adn that's why I thinkshe wil finally pay for her magic arrogance.

As for a reset, we have certainly seen ME use this technique before ("I will Remember You"; Doppelgangland; even bringing Angel back in Season 3), but I agree with Aruthusa, if there is a reset, how do the characters grow? I think Tara will be back in her job from Restless, as a spirit guide, guiding Willow and Buffy to their redemptions. For those who think that the Restless dreams were premonitions for Season 6, we are at the perfect place for Buffy's dream. She will end the season alone, looking for her friends. (Haven';t figured out if Xander will be gone, but we don't know how the scene between willow and Xander ends).

One final speculation, if there is a reset, I think it will be like "I Will Remember You" and Willow will remember everything. And would the reset happen this season or next? And will it happen ebfore Tara's death or after? We debate alot after we see the episodes, having a smigen of info makes it even harder to debate.
