Subject: Spoiler Chronology Question for AngelX

AngelX - in your spoilers you indicate that the SG and the trio are going to see Spike and Anya's fling in the Magic Shop in Ep. 18 because it was secretly taped. My question was do the SG and the trio see it happen in Ep. 18 (similtaneous to the event) or later.

I wanted to know if Buffy had already seen the tape by the time Spike tries to have sex with her again in Ep. 19. That would explain why she was not interested.

The gang see it as it's happening, which leads to more drama later in the episode.

And Spike having sex with Anya isn't exactly the only reason for Buffy not wanting him. Aside from the whole "not being involved with him anymore," there's more that's unveiled later in 18 and some in 19 that ads to her reasons for not being interested. The fact that she's very adamant about them not being together anymore and not loving him should be enough, but there are other possible reasons as well.

AngelX - thanks for the clarification and the spoilers. But, your answer only made me wonder what else can be unveiled in ONE episode to make Buffy not want to be with Spike. If it's awful, please take pity on us and tell us now. I need to prepare myself. I can't imagine what else could happen to top the Spike/Anya sex to alienate Buffy from Spike further. My wild imagination might give me a meltdown.

Take one drunk Spike, add the opportunity to tell Buffy's friends about him sleeping with her and what do you get?

Two friends finding out the truth.

Really not something that hasn't been hinted at for a while. And the other thing from 19 isn't even related to Spike so nothing to freak over.

Even without those things, Buffy shouldn't need other reasons to not want Spike at the moment. She's not backing down from her position of not wanting to be with him. She doesn't love him and it's not fair to her to be in a relationship with him if she doesn't love him. I'm not sure how bad the scene will play out when it's finally cut and edited and such, but if nothing else, it should show the consequence of Buffy's repeated use of "No" and "Please Don't" before just surrendering to Spike as she did repeatedly in the past. For once, when she really means it, he doesn't take her seriously.
