if you believe that OMwF was the blueprint for the season, remember the musical ends with "understand we'll go hand in hand, but we'll walk alone in fear".

in fact this leaves:
Spike in Africa on a quest
Dawn in foster care
Willow hospitalized
tara a dead spirit
Buffy alone and going darker (how is that possible)
Xander Anyaless and alone
Anya a vengeance demon

How much more alone and in fear can they be? of course the curtain comes down on Spuffy, I'm not sure where that would come from
It also gets rid of the nagging problem of likeing Willow after she commits cold blooded murder of Warren (in this scenario she doesn't do it). And rack is a warlock, not a "human". (this is actually an interesting question, is Willow when she is black-eyed "human") but what is his goal? What is Warren's actually? that they would be the same?
