"Sometimes things don't go the way we intend."???? If the fans went somewhere other than where the writers intended, then they are poor writers.

"I think people have forgotten the Spike of two seasons ago." Isn't that what we were supposed to do? The writers have spent an incredible amount of time evolving Spike's character from black to gray.

Either the writers have become terribly inept, or Marti Noxon is misleading us.
