I agree with Ishkabibble, this was a rather offending interview in my opinion. While Marti did make some valid points about Buffy/Angel shippers (these people can be really vicious the moment you mention that you support Buffy/Spike or Angel/Cordelia) I think it was rather presumptuous of her to make that metaphor about them obsessed with their high school sweethearts. It's not like she's the first person to talk this way, however. I recall numerous interviews with creators of the show where they make subtly derogatory comments about the intelligence of the fans. I believe that last year David Fury said that anyone who didn't consider Season 5 to be up to par with the series should go and watch reality TV because they just don't get it. It's as though I'm being told that my opinion is stupid. Honestly, the arrogance at ME sometimes gets on my nerves.
