Maybe I'm influenced by Pratchett too much. He tends to view demons (vamps, werewolves, Igors) as the Undead, i.e. dead but not dead. That's what I (kinda) meant about Anya being a demon again. They've never really explained about "Justice" demons. Are they like vamps? Did whoever Anya was as a human, die when she accepted the job? Do "Justice" demons have a soul? If they don't, it could explain how Anya could "die" and go back to being a demon.
