Earth child turns and stares in direction of the water fairy. A small grasp escapes her. And pain exploded in her head. She moans as she pressed a palm to her forehead.
She almost knew� almost�
Her knees buckled under her. One hand hit the earth while the other remained pressed to her forehead. The sight of the fairy had brought back a piece of her memory that was taken from her. Slowly she lowered her arm and stood again, facing the fairy.
Darkblues show that her memory of the fairy as her adopted mother had returned. It was one more piece to the puzzle.
Golden-autumn wings lift the child over to her. Expressionless face didn�t change. She couldn�t love, hate, or anything really except physical pain. Or could she? For a moment it almost appeared as if her lips had curved at the corners. Could have just been your imagination.
