She could hear him saying so gently in her ear.
She felt disembodied.
Looking down she could see her body below her
Along with her mother
Her body below was still as death.
What is going on?
She tried to choke out but her voice was just lost to the wind.
No, no! I can’t leave!
Her soul cried as she started to be lifted toward the heavens.
On one hand… she might end up with Basil.
She felt herself torn in two, like always.
One the other hand… she couldn’t leave her mother.
Basil, Basil! What do I do?!
Suddenly she felt like she was falling.
Down… down… faster and faster…
She wanted to scream but a great blackness swallowed her.

Her body jerked as if her soul had suddenly dropped back into it.
Moaning and trembling her eyes opened, revealing blue.
Sitting up quickly she looked around while panting as if been running.
“W-what…?”
Heart thumped a zillion miles per hour in her chest.
Turning she saw her mother and threw her arms around her crania.
And buried her cheek against the mare’s.
“Oh Mother!”
Sir Gray Death has failed.
She was free for now, but was marked forever by it.
A strange mark appeared on the right side of her neck.
It was a eerie gray mark shaped like a star with a lightning bolt through it.
It burned some for a while but she didn’t notice as she clung to the mare.
Slowly standing she hugged the mare a few more times,
then just stood there with her hands over her heart and staring happily and sadly at her equine mother~



[aren't I though? *evil grin* Now here is the play by play incase I don't come back. See... I have super hard classes this year. (My Junior year of Highschool!) And It started the 20th but already I have lots of h.w. and tests coming up next week (can you believe that!). So I have to send Katie away for a bit. Maybe on weekends I can post but otherwise, during the week there is just no way I can. So Katie is going to go wander by herself in foregin lands.. needing time still to adjust to Basil's death and is going to try and find Fire Cry (who is out in the desert right now and too thin and thirsty and lost). So... sorry! I didn't know how hard Anatomy was going to be! My teacher was like a college professor... so she is treating the class like a college class and it's awful! (geesh...I just had to want to be a nurse!) Other Charris: Michelle(fae), Ebony Knight(colt of SV), Arabella Dancing Heart(open meadows) and of course Katie.
Phew! Well... see ya... I got this weekend... sort of... I have to study but I'll try to make at least two more posts!]
