While I'm new to catching crawdad(crayfish)our waters here in Central Oregon have quite large quantities of them. For the most part the season is open year round (no license required)limit:100 per day.Am told summer (warmer water) is the best time of the year to catch them.We use crawfish wire nets & chicken backs for bait.Don't know about transporting them but I would guess in buckets of water.Polyprop(floating) line must be used. How do you tell the males from females?? Do you put them in a pot of boiling water?? Are there crayfish recipies?? Any info would be appreciated. Bill
