見習騎師徐君禮（「奧運歡騰」）解釋，坐騎一如以往出閘笨拙。他說，他立即開始一路催策「奧運歡騰」，但坐騎未能加速，瞬即被馬群拋離。他說，他繼續一路催策坐騎直至過了八百米處，但坐毫無反應，他認為坐騎展步未如預期。他說，因此在餘下途程上他沒有一路催策「奧運歡騰」。

「奧運歡騰」須接受獸醫檢查及抽樣檢驗，賽後獸醫檢查該駒，發現該駒左後腳不良於行，發出異常呼吸聲。他說，內窺鏡檢查顯示該駒患有喘鳴症。小組認為「奧運歡騰」的表現難以接受。

「奧運歡騰」必須試閘及格，並且通過獸醫檢驗後，才可再次出賽。
