被查詢時，柏寶（「友利多」）說，覺得排在內側檔位的「勇士」會領放，而希望「友利多」能佔取中間位置之前。他說，「友利多」因外閃及難以催策而被小組著令必須試閘及格，他在試閘中策騎該駒，而該駒試閘及格。

他說，是晚「友利多」出閘迅速，能夠上前且在出閘後不久切入內欄領放。他說，其後他收慢「友利多」，佔取「名店之星」後面有遮擋的位置。他說，「友利多」沿途走勢暢順，直路上對催策反應強勁。

他說，鑑於該駒有外閃紀錄，他按照馬主的指示以左手握鞭。「友利多」的練馬師賀賢證實給予柏寶的策騎指示。他說，「友利多」在抵港前在賽事中居於前列競跑，但抵港後他希望該駒能較穩定走勢，因此他在之前的賽事指示「友利多」的騎師讓該駒取得平
衡，希望該駒能以勁勢衝刺，但在此騎法下，「友利多」外閃並且難以控制。

他說，在該駒上次的試閘中，他指示柏寶讓該駒順其自然競跑，而該駒試閘表現甚佳。他說，在該次試閘及在其後的河畔快試後，認為該駒或較適合居於較前位置，以圖令牠在競跑時較易控制。

被查詢時，賀賢說，有見「友利多」近期晨操及試閘表現，他認為該駒是晚將會交出良好表現，但他不認為「友利多」在此階段的競賽生涯能擊敗「勇士」，而他亦向「友利多」的馬主說明。

小組告誡賀賢，他旗下馬匹的騎法和表現已有數次引起小組注意。

小組明確地告誡他，他有責任盡其所能確保由他訓練的馬匹表現或騎法不受質疑。

小組又告誡他，只要小組認為情況適當，日後可隨時再審議此事。
