The Starlight Valley

~~You walk down a gentle slope ... plants tug at your legs and brush against your sides. You duck under a low branch and stop in surprise - grass ripples across the wide valley that opens unexpectedly before you. Wooded hills cup it in a dark mottled emerald hue and groups of slender saplings march around the edges of a thin meandering stream. Trickling along the edge of the valley, it opens into a small clear pond before rushing down a short waterfall and disapearing into the shadow of a hulking rock. You move further down. This valley is not so full of creatures as it once was, or at least not obviously so. Just a small group of horses watch you as approach. A snowy stallion of huge stature is recognisable as the warrier stallion Vulcan, and the master of this place. Close beside him stands a young palamino female, not yet out of childhood though her bearing is mature past her years. To those in the know this is Destiny - his adoptive niece and future heir.
There are rustlings behind and around you, shapes that disappear when you look at them fully. Was that the silhouette of a burly wolf under the trees? If it was it wasn't alone ...
there are marks on the ground that look like the footprints of dragons ... ~~
