His muzzle soft on her shoulder. I'm sorry, Katie. he says quietly. His soul is still with you.
He looks up at the other stallions, the larger and the smaller one that he knew.
You don't have to do anything, particularly let someone treat you badly. he says softly. Family is caring, not controlling.
He sights Storm approaching, and watches intently her reunion. His pale eyes turn to the stallion brooding in the shadows, measuring him up, then back to Katie.
Any time you need somewhere to go, you're always welcome here. he reminds her, concern in his tone. He'd never been really close to her but that didn't stop him caring what happened to her.

She shook her head. �I have to. I have to.� The young woman repeated. �So much happened. And so much will happen. Lord Vulcan I saw the future of the Circle. It was wonderful yet horrible. I have to stay with Fire Cry. The Circle can�t break apart now. Knight, Dancing Flame, Soul� all of them need Fire Cry and me.� She knew she wasn�t making sense. He couldn�t possibly understand. �Fire Cry does care�. in a odd way.� Rugged breaths overcame her. It was so cold. So dark. I have to go back. I don�t want to. Her skin became like ice to touch and she shivered. Gray eyes became wild. �Milord, is it possible for me to take back the past?�
