Stallion stands alone, siloetted against the night sky he lifts his head and calls; his screaming, aching cry speeding through the night as he vents his sorrow and confusion. Where to from here? A mate-ship lost, friends disappeared with the mare he thought he'd loved. A warrier born, he feels his hard muscles softening with ill use, his razor instincts blunting with the slow days here in this herd he'd adopted.
He calls again, his peircing call sent to the stars, sent to where-ever the wolf/mare he'd known as Storm was now.
Friends dead, friends gone, children disappeared.
Where was his soul? Here, in the valley? Or ...
This place, this earth, had become a part of him, and as he lowers himself to the ground, long lashes lowering over pale eyes he can't help but think of all those he had known before.
