NOTES:

Bull Light Cup… The Professional Bull Riders head from one part of the country to the other when they leave Portland, Ore. and head to Worcester, Mass. This will be the fifth time for the Worcester Open, Bud Light Cup competition in the Centrum Centre.

J.W. Hart, Ultra Wheels cowboy, 26, Marietta, Okla., has drawn the bull Red Bone owned by Gene Owens. “I don’t know anything about Red Bull,” said Hart. “But Gene Owens has been known to have some pretty good bulls.”

Red Bone Stats… Out of the 45 bulls ranked this weekend Red Bone comes in the 40th spot. He has only been to one PBR event and was unridden.

Hart on Worcester…“Man, the Worcester fans are incredible. I remember a couple of years ago there was a huge blizzard and the fans still came to our event and it was a sell out on Saturday night. Now those are true bull riding fans.”

Last Year in Worcester… Hart split fifth/eighth in the first round, fourth/six in the second and bucked off in the short go which placed him seventh in the average.

Mossy Oak Shootout… Last year the Mossy Oak moneys had gotten to a record $100,000, M.O. and the PBR made the decision to freeze that amount until someone won (Ross Coleman won in Columbus, OH). Last weekend, in Portland, marked the first Shootout for the year and the $35,000, (which will accumulate $5,000 at each two-day event until someone wins). Ross Coleman did not make the eight-second ride. This weekend, the bounty bull is Hammer (owned by Tony Sharp). “Hammer got me in the second round of the PBR World Championships, he’s one tough bucking bull but I would love to get another shot at him.”
