People's sense of denial never fails to amaze me. The human race would so much rather cling to false notions of the way they would like things to be rather than the way they are.

I quite agree. I do the same thing, of course. I believe in ghosts and the Loch Ness Monster simply because I find them romantic notions that appeal to the fantastic within me, not because they are necessarily factual. One either knows something, or does not know something. Believing in something one does not know about is faith. Clinging to false notions of the way they would like things to be rather than the way they are is faith.

Faith is the refuge of the ignorant.

What man has the courage to see and to stand up for what he knows in his heart to be true? Give me a stone to toss, and in a day of throwing, I would not hit one. Though, I might do the world a bit of good by hitting the others.

LOL! That is too rich! I love the image. And I think it is true.

The Universe is constructed of possibilities.

Good. Perhaps there are ghosts and Loch Ness monsters... I hope we never find out. I hope we never discover ALL of the possibilities of life.
