Abba is perfect for you, isn't he? :) He is like, the perfect misguided generic christian that wraps up 90 percent of what you love to dislodge of different people's belief into one silly person. You just love having him around so you can put every other christian into his mold. Heh, I think he would like to do that also, but that is another issue entirely.
Well, I'm here to tell you that your christian god is the same as his christian god; That god is entirely different than most christian's christian god. (god here is used specifically as a set of beliefs and perceptions of what God is).
Most of us Catholics have at least one belief that is rather silly or extreme that is easy for you to argue with. But not all of them together like Abba's son. Each of us rarely have the same fanatical silly belief, so you can pick the worst one from each of us and put them together into your epitomy of christian god. This suddenly bugs me and I see it with less humor today than other days for some reason. Take the best and most sensible/enlightened idea from each of us and you have a pretty terrific philosophy and you would be having a better influence somehow.
I'm not even sure what my whole point is here, besides for some reason I feel it important to debate what you said in your post.

YOUR VIEW OF CHRISTIAN GOD, NOT MINE. and not the majority of christians. Stop trying to say it is the standard christian view. I do find it interesting that most christians will say they do not believe this but will say they believe whole-heartedly in the old testiment which says this. So what that means is that we are more guided by our own inner spirit and conscience than by the bible. We read the bible and tend to believe what we are already inclined to believe in, this is what religion is, each our own personal beliefs. I used to argue with you when you said that. Now I agree. Religion is almost entirely an individualistic thing regardless of how much united in beliefs we try to be.

so you have found 'American Values' that tend to be any more universal and benevolant than christianity?
I can come up with as many negatives for you darn heartless 'Americans' with all your silly and contradicting beliefs as you do with christianity.
