You say that man's nature is inherently sinful, and by sin you mean selfish. (Please correct me if I am wrong. I am really just trying to iron out exactly what you mean.) Could you then describe selfishness to me? (I am not playing dumb here. I just want to know what it means for you.) What I mean is, we have gross selfishness: stealing, or self-serving conduct that leaves others needing. But, you say that these can be lessened, right?

If this is true, then my only real question, when defining sin, is what is the least amount of selfishness that can be attained?
