The idea of the Triune God didn't come about until much later, long after Christ passed away. Indeed, even as late as the Council of Nycea (where the Nicene Creed was developed), that point was under debate.

Just because Christians opted to adapt Psalms to refer to Christ doesn't make it true. Just like if a particular song makes you think of a fond memory, that doesn't mean the song was written based on that memory of yours. That is why the argument is false - it proves nothing. Christians may feel free to use Psalms when referring to Christ, but just because they do so, that does not mean that the original psalmist was thinking of Christ.
