Things only get better from here. The third one is great with what they do with Dickens.. the fourth/fifth have some humor and some character building aspects but the weakest of the series in some ways, then after that, all uphill (ep 6 is Dalek).

So you can now see the 9th Doctor's catchword is "fantastic" and that he is suffering more than a little with "survivor's guilt." Things change a bit with that from Dalek (the show, like usual, continues to have character development though not exactly on the level of B5 yet).

So, Doctor Who's back... and the first season is already award-wining so it's going to be back for a long time.
