The new Doctor Who is not available unless you download it from the net (which I did not do), or buy the DVDS as they are released from the UK and either use the DVD player on a computer (setting the region) or find a cheap no-region DVD player for the TV which can convert the signal (which are now not uncommon).

The show starts off with the Autons (a bit of a weak Auton story, but it is more an introduction story for the new companion, from her point of view). Then jumps to the "End of the World" billions of years into the future, before a trip to Dickens.

The episodes are now 45 mins each, with some two-parters, and there is an extra backstory which is worked through the season about the Doctor (which sounds weak but works fine on screen)-- he is the last of the Time Lords, with the Time Lords and Daleks having destroyed each other in a Time War. Of course, that doesn't stop the Daleks from coming back -- and in the last episodes, you see 500,000 Daleks in a large war.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/ has clips for every episode, the regeneration from the 9th to 10th Doctor, all kinds of behind the scenes info, etc. IT really has revitalized Doctor Who, making it a top ten program in the UK and even former haters of Doctor Who have become fans (the most famous being Michael Grade).
