Well, there seem to be plenty of women who volunteer. But, when women are in the military, it appears once again that women have more rights than men. When it comes to cleaning bilges, overflowing human waste, various other dirty work, and moving semi heavy loads there won't be a woman in sight. When a military lady does have to move a box or some other muscle labor...they bat their eyelashes once a guy comes "within" striking distance and well, less work for them.

Now, I do want to say I ran into one girl who did everything that I guy did in Engineering. Though meeting one girl able to do this in ten years is quite something.

This is only a one sided view, since I was in the Navy. Ask the other services about the marines, army and airforce.
