Subject: Rated R

Rated R means only that a child cannot get in unless accompanied by an adult. And no matter if you want your child to see a certain movie or not see it, you should be there to explain the things that they are not ready to process.

I have no problem with my sons watching a lot of R rated movies but I want to be there with them; seeing their reactions, being there for any questions they may have, etc. So what I would allow them to see at home I would not necessarily let them see anywhere else.

R rated movies do not take away a parent's choice to allow their children to watch movies that they want them to see; but it does force the parent(in theory) to be aware of what their children are experiencing.
