I have thought about it and decided I will allow some religious discussion on certain terms -
1) Try to understand what the person is saying, and don't be so literal with individual statements. Often posts are "stream-of-consciousness" writings, and one must look at the whole thing to figure out what the poster intends.
2) Don't assume any assertion is common sense or self-evident. Support all assertions with specific evidence. Examples work well in within the scope of this forum.
3) Don't put words in a poster's "mouth". If you do not understand what the poster is saying, ask for clarification before posting your response on what you think the poster is saying.
4) If a poster uses the words "you" or "your" or similar terms in a reply to a post, then one can assume the poster is referring directly to the person replied to. If a poster wants the content of a post to be generic, then do not use words that indicate a specific person.
