Computer problem

My computer keeps shutting itself down and restarting after I get this message from NT Authority/System:

Windows must now restart because the Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service terminated unexpectedly.

It gives me one minute to save stuff and then kills the computer.

There seems to be no rhyme or reason, but it happens quicker on this site (I tried twice to answer MVD's latest comments and questions only to but shut off after typing several paragraphs)
